This original painting is a ‘collaboration’ between an anonymous, professional Chinese artist and Shannon Pawliw. The work depicts the artist’s own hands and was commissioned and then later embellished by Pawliw. Commissioning distant artists symbolizes our dependence on a global economy and is a recognition of how even the most intimate aspects of artistic expression can be outsourced, automated, and delivered from afar.

PLEASE NOTE: All funds on this site are quoted in Canadian dollars and your credit card company may also charge a conversion fee if you are not paying in CAD funds. All painting marks or light blemishes are part of the art. There are no returns on original art. Each painting is signed on the back with the date. All paintings also come with a signed certificate of authenticity.
